If you asked me what the most essential thing was for having a thriving work at home business, I would have to say that a good reputation should be first on the top of the list. Some people just realize get this. It can take months or even years to build a good reputation online and yet, it can also be destroyed in the twinkle of an eye. This article is going to pinpoint few ways to ruin your reputation.
Most likely the best way to destroy your reputation is to deliver a shoddy product. You may be able to get a people to buy them initially, but after they see how inferior the product is, they will either return it or never purchase another item from you again should you have more than one. Eventually, you WILL run out of clients. In addition, once the word spreads that your products are junk, a lot of potential buyers will stay far, far away. And believe me, negative press travels like wild fire.
Another way to destroy your reputation, assuming you have a great product, is to render poor customer service. Believe it or not, clients are going to have questions or problems that will need to be resolved. If you dont get back to these customers, assuming you have even given them a means to reach you, you are going to have quite a few unhappy clients. Customer service is what differentiates one business from another. So if you want to build a strong reputation, deliver quality customer service and in due time.
Lastly, and this is what gets many people into big trouble, that is, bad remarks about the competitor. Look, I understand that you want to explain to folks why YOUR product is better than the competitors own, but you can do this without bad remarks. Nobody welcomes a sales person who knocks somebody else. Its not businesslike and ultimately, word is going to get out that you practice this sot of thing. And when that happens, your reputation will suffer.
These three things are at the top of my list for destroying your reputation.
Ensure you stay focus on them. Remember, there is only a thin line between success and failure.
